BABYLON BEAUTIFICATION SOCIETY FAIR
ARGYLE PARK · BABYLON VILLAGE · SUN 8AM TO 5PM
Three hundred and twenty five craft makers and thirty five specialty food booths, spread across Argyle Park, the Village Gazebo and Bayman Park. They pull thirty five thousand people. It is the biggest thing happening on Long Island this weekend and it is run entirely by volunteers, with every dollar going back into the village.
Get there before noon. The Welcome and National Anthem are at 12:00, the Irish Step Dancers go on at 12:15, and live music runs until 4:30. Food and drink booths open at 10. Kid Zone is at Bayman Park across the canal with bounce houses and face painting. Leave the dog at home, they ask outright, it is too crowded.

EAST NORTHPORT FESTIVAL

Three days, and Friday night is a real night, not a warm up. Blue Sky runs the carnival, First Class Concessions runs the food court, and the beer garden has Twisted Cow Distillery, Lost Farmer Brewing and Del Vino pouring. Saturday goes until 11.
Saturday and Sunday the bazaar takes over eight hundred feet of Larkfield Road, Pulaski to Kew, with eighty vendors selling cutting boards, moonshine, crochet plushies, honey and banana bread. Costumed characters appear both days from noon to 2. Admission is free, the rides are not.

HOLY TRINITY GRECIAN FESTIVAL

Three days of Greek food and pastries, two dance groups, live music, carnival rides and a flea market they call Yiayia’s Attic. Grandma’s attic. They have been collecting donations for it since July.
Friday runs 5 to 11, Saturday noon to 11 with rides from 1, Sunday noon to 10 with rides from 1. Fifteen minutes from most of central Nassau, and the food alone is worth the trip.

TOBAY WATERFRONT FESTIVAL AND FREE CONCERT
TOBAY BEACH MARINA · MASSAPEQUA · SUN 12 TO 4PM · FREE
Captain Cool Band playing yacht rock on the water, marine and outdoor exhibits, Nassau County police boat demonstrations and food concessions open all day. Four hours, free, on the last stretch of real beach weather.
The snapper derby is the reason to bring the kids. Every rod and every bit of instruction is provided, so you turn up with nothing and they get put on the water. Rain date is Sunday September 20.

OLD TOWN CAR SHOW

Four hours in the lot at Full Gospel Christian Center, trophies for the best cars, food trucks and music. Registration opens at 10 if you are bringing something.
No admission and no registration fee, which is rare. Most shows want twenty five just to park a car on the grass. Rain date is September 26.

WHAT IS THIS?
It started with beers on a porch on Old Farm Road. There's a restored tractor on the front lawn. Somebody called it Fridays on the Farm and the name stuck.
Then it spread. Food Truck Friday nights. Fire pits. A projector on the lawn for Knicks games. Bagels + mimosas on the porch on a Sunday morning. Whatever the crew was doing, it was "Fridays on the Farm."
Now we do the same thing for the rest of Long Island. We find the good stuff, we tell you about it, and then we actually show up. Every other events page just lists things. We go.
It's not a farm.
It's a Friday.
